Not only does this help you to determine if the candidate is satisfied and happy with their placement, but it also gives you a greater insight into an employer, which can help you to place the right candidates in the future.

 

How to Retain a Relationship with Candidates:

 

  • Follow Up Regularly – It’s important to communicate with your candidates, even after you have placed them in a job. Stay up to date with their progress and any challenges they might be facing.

 

  • Encourage Networking Event Attendance Encourage candidates to attend networking and industry events, as these provide a fantastic opportunity for them to meet other people in the industry. It also showcases that you are a major player in the sector, and you know the ins and outs of what’s going on.

 

  • Resources and Support – After placement, resources and support are hugely beneficial to a candidate, all of which you can provide. Not only does this show that you care about their career progression, but it also reminds them of your expertise.

 

Maintaining a relationship with a candidate after job placements enables you to support their careers going forward, whilst also solidifying yourself as an expert in the recruitment industry.
