Varied is the best way to describe this role! If you are an IT Support Analyst / IT Support Engineer with strong deskside 1st line support and 2nd line support skills looking to be involved with lots of technology  AND  projects, you will love this role. As IT Support Analyst you will play a key role supporting users on a first and second line level. Providing 2nd Line support mainly at deskside level, we're looking for an IT Support Analyst who is comfortable working closely with end users to troubleshoot within a Microsoft environment. Technical Support issues will be varied within a Windows environment so skills with desktop Windows 10, Windows Server 2012, 2016 and Windows Server 2019 as well as Active Directory and networking – TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP. Cloud experience such as Office 365 / O365 or One Drive would be an advantage. This is a great role for career progression as well as to support a large programme of digital and technical transformation. As well as providing exceptional support, there will be plenty of IT Infrastructure projects to work on that create a solid base from which to roll out new technology on to. This role would suit someone with a varied technical background gained. Not necessarily in depth across all areas but certainly a good background with 1st Line and 2nd Line support within a Windows desktop and server IT infrastructure environment with exposure to networking and / or security. Not only will you have good technical skills but also excellent customer service experience – we are looking for people who not only want to progress their IT career (lots of opportunity) but who have a real passion for IT and importantly a genuine desire to help and therefore provide the best possible service through IT, delivering a fantastic customer experience. Duties and skills required will be varied and so you must be adaptable, they could include  Active Directory Windows Server 2012 / 2016 /2019 Windows 10 1st and 2nd Line Technical Support VMware (nice to have) Management of Active Directory environments including Group Policy Cloud Services (microsoft 365) – nice to have ITIL awareness preferred Accreditations such as MCP, MCSA or MCSE would be nice Have a keen sense of service with excellent communications skills Based Greater Manchester, this position is commutable from Bolton, Bury, Wigan, Walkden, Lancashire areas.
