Data Architect – Permanent – Hybrid working – West Midlands or South East We're looking for a Data Architect to join a financial services business on a huge transformation journey. You’ll be integral in driving the design and delivery of data architecture to support the data management capability required to underpin their strategic goals with a suitable data architecture. You'll be delivering value for the business every day by driving the strategic view of data whist consistently horizon scanning and looking for better ways of doing things. What we’re looking for: 8 years’ previous experience in working with data for creation of business value in a technology role Deep experience with data warehousing / analytics solutions and systems 5 years’ previous experience (or comparable) working with Software/Technology delivery 5 years’ previous experience (or comparable) working in Financial Services specifically within Mortgages and Savings Previous experience of Agile projects Previous experience of working with banking is (preferred) Experience working with data modelling tools and data dictionaries (preferred) You’ll also need: Specialist knowledge of Data Architecture, Data Management, Data Modelling and Data Warehousing concepts Specialist and technical knowledge of data warehouse and reporting system Strong ability to work with business and IT stakeholders to ensure data is protected and managed correctly as well leveraged to provide value to the business, its customers and shareholders Enhanced analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to analyse, understand and explain complex requirements Robust ability to effectively communicate to new and existing staff on technologies used by the organisation, business processes and regulatory requirements Ability to plan, organise, prioritise and manage workload for self and others across a dispersed team Ability to build strong relationships with various stakeholders throughout the organisation Excellent written and oral communication skills This is an incredibly exciting and challenging role and you’ll be integral in underpinning the business strategy with world class data architecture.  For all your hard work, you’ll be rewarded with a great salary, bonus scheme, healthy holiday allowance (with the option to buy more!), an award-winning wellbeing agenda…plus a whole load of employee discounts and perks!
