Deputy Head of Testing – Permanent – Hybrid working – South East or West Midlands We’re looking for a Deputy Head of Testing to join a thriving financial services business who are on a huge transformative journey.  This is a newly created role and you’ll be instrumental in accelerating and optimising delivery of the Testing programme of work across the Change area of the business. You’ll be driving momentum in change activity and will create an environment in which Testing can succeed.  You’ll be supporting the Group Head of Testing with the Test Function roadmap, whilst also leading a team of Senior Test Managers, motivating and mentoring them to role play exactly what a world class Testing environment looks like. What we’re looking for: Minimum of 5 years’ test delivery management or running a test function/department of project testing 5 years managing expectations of senior management and other business stakeholders i 5 years interacting with people at all levels in an organisation is essential 5 years’ experience in software testing and scaled agile test delivery 5 years previous Line Management as a direct or matrix reporting line experience 3 years’ previous experience working with offshore operations 5 years’ experience of working closely with development test and business teams 5 years supporting business in the planning, preparation, management and execution of UAT 5 years’ extensive experience of Test scoping and planning using a ‘risk based approach’ 3 years’ experience of Environment Management and Build Control Processes 5 years’ experience of selecting and implementing test automation tools to drive efficiency, effectiveness and quality of testing outcomes You’ll also need: Thorough knowledge of the software development cycle and the defect resolution process Thorough knowledge of Non Functional, System Testing and User Acceptance frameworks Thorough understanding of structured test methods and processes covering manual and automated testing Significant level of knowledge re use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Project and Visio Thorough knowledge of the software development cycle and the defect resolution process Thorough knowledge of Non Functional, System Testing and User Acceptance frameworks Thorough understanding of structured test methods and processes covering manual and automated testing Significant level of knowledge re use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Project and Visio This is an incredibly exciting and challenging role and not only will you be able to put your own stamp on it, but you’ll be pushing the business’ Change strategy forward with your Testing knowledge and expertise.  For all your hard work, you’ll be rewarded with a great salary, bonus scheme, healthy holiday allowance (with the option to buy more!), an award-winning wellbeing agenda…plus a whole load of employee discounts and perks!
