Job Title: IT Delivery Manager – Digital & Retail Location: London  or Macclesfield with 50% travel to customer sites Up to £65,000 with a 15% annual bonus & car allowance   As the IT Delivery Manager for Digital & Retail, you will serve as the business partner to the Digital, Retail, and Marketing functions. Your role is crucial in bridging the gap between technology, our business teams, and the user experience. You will take ownership of all Digital, Retail, CSR, and Nutrition technology and play a pivotal role in executing the Digital and Retail technology strategy. Your exceptional people and organisational skills will enable you to effectively manage multiple concurrent deliveries and oversee the cradle-to-grave management of all digital, retail, and frontline systems, along with the underlying technology infrastructure. In this position, you will collaborate closely with peers from the UK IT team, including the IT Enterprise Architect, IT Delivery Managers for other UK business functions, and the Head of IT Operations, as well as Group IT.   Key Accountabilities: – Serve as a trusted IT advisor for the Digital, Retail, Marketing, CSR, and Nutrition functions, ensuring maximum value is derived from IT. – Manage all systems, underlying infrastructure, and delivery roadmaps used by the respective business functions, including overseeing their IT total cost of ownership (TCO), budgets, vendors, and contracts, with a focus on continuous optimization of vendor commercials and performance. – Provide solution options, designs, and estimations; oversee delivery in terms of time, cost, and quality, from inception to service stabilisation. – Assist the business functions in business process mapping, training, and user acceptance testing (UAT). – Proactively manage risks associated with all systems and underlying infrastructure, such as security, data protection, compliance, intellectual property, end of service life, capacity, performance, availability, and user experience. – Drive continuous improvement initiatives for value optimization, including integration and automation.   Responsibilities: – Design and deliver IT solutions that meet business requirements within agreed budgets and timescales. – Support business impact assessment and change management related to new IT solutions. – Identify and design the IT service support model for new solutions. – Provide proactive advice to the Head of Customer IT regarding solution-related issues and risks. – Oversee the development and execution of IT solutions budgets for the Operations, Marketing, and CSR functions. – Manage relationships with third-party vendors and Group IT to ensure adherence to solution budgets and on-time, on-budget delivery.   Skills / Experience: – Comprehensive IT project lifecycle experience, including the management of e-commerce, websites, mobile applications, Point of Sale (EPOS), Recipe and Menu Management systems, from concept to delivery. – Proficiency in using various facilitation methods to elicit requirements while challenging the status quo and proposing improvements. – Ability to lead, inspire, and motivate a diverse IT team through matrix management. – Proven experience working closely with stakeholders to deliver IT solutions that meet business requirements. – Confidence in managing budgets and commercial aspects of projects. – Experience managing third-party IT partners for functional development and projects. – Ideally qualified in Prince2 or working towards a suitable alternative project management accreditation. Previous experience of business analysis or project management in relation to digital and retail solutions in at least one of the following business sectors – Education, Healthcare, Retail/ hospitality or similar is required. 50% of the role involves travel to customer sites based from either Macclesfield or London The package comprises a basic of c. £60,000, 15% bonus, pension, healthcare and life assurance.  There are also fantastic onsite office facilities. Based Cheshire, this position is easily commutable from places such as Manchester, Stockport, Cheadle, Didsbury, Wilmslow, Macclesfield, Knutsford, Congleton and is only a short walk away from a train station.
