An experienced and pro-active Project Manager required to work with the Senior Leadership and Stakeholder team to manage the request for information phase of their WMS project with three potential vendors through to selection.  You'll then work with the vendor and internal Project team to manage the successful implementation of the WMS.   You'll be expected to build a solid understanding of current infrastructure and future requirements to ensure they are aligned with a system fit for purpose.  Some of the responsibilities would include: To provide hands on leadership to the end to end delivery of the selected WMS system. Identify project deliverables and delivery approach. Develop process understanding of the current state and work with Managers and team leaders to produce an RFI for submission to short listed vendors. Identify key users from other functions that may be impacted. Develop a plan with the Vendor for end to end implementation. Understand dependencies of the current ERP system. Work with the team to train key users. Maintain a Project Governance methodology engaging on a regular basis with the Vendor and key stakeholders of the project. At point of project completion, ensure the project is in a stable state to hand across as BAU and has been accepted into service. Experience within the retail, logistics, eCommerce or transport sectors is key, as well as vast knowledge of WMS and significant experience in supply chain management.  Strong process and organisational skills are also vital in this role, together with a track record of successful delivery in project and change management.  Stress-free, logical, quick problem solving are additional fundamental traits needed for this position.  You'll also need solid understanding of GDPR. To excel in this role, you will have excellent communication skills and be confident in presenting your ideas to all levels of management, particularly when dealing with complex recommendations.  A friendly and approachable manner is another important attribute and having the ability to lead and motivate teams are an integral part. This project is a key enabler for the business to fulfil its potential, and this role will integral to that sucess by designing, implementing and landing this vital digital transformation for the company.  You need to be passionate about your work and the business, be a hands-on manager and not be afraid of getting close to the operation.
